The application windows for Reception and Secondary places for 2020 opened yesterday. To apply for your places, please visit the Leicester City website using the link below. Late applications could mean you miss out on a place at your chosen school so please complete ASAP! If you require any support with applying, please contact Mrs Hurst.

International Award-Well done North Mead!

  Well done North Mead! Our recent Nepal Day was a huge success, and the school has now been awarded the International Award, Intermediate Level. The assessor shared the following comments, “Well done North Mead Primary Academy you are clearly working towards embedding an increasing international perspective.. You are involving most of your children and it is clear from your general information that you do have a range of activities throughout the year, Your listed activities are valid and interesting and fulfill the commitment of linking with a partner school. The Prayer bunting is an unusual idea but very visual and rewarding for the pupils. All of these activities clearly highlight similarities and differences and this should have been a very enjoyable day….. Good luck with your future work. ” North Mead Primary Academy is now working toward accreditation, and we look forward to sharing the ongoing activities and journey…

Sports Day Cancellation

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Hello! Unfortunately due to the thunderstorms being predicted for today/tomorrow, we have taken the decision to cancel Sports Day and reschedule the event. We intend to hold the event across two days next week, KS 1 Sports Day- Afternoon on Wednesday 3rd July, and KS 2 Sports Day- Morning on Thursday 4th July. We are sorry for any inconvenience, however feel it is better to cancel this now rather than wait and see and disappoint people on the day. Many thanks!

Stock Sale-Sweatshirts and Book Bags

Please note that we will be selling our old sweatshirts and book bags (Northfield House Primary Academy) at a reduced cost of- Sweatshirts (all sizes) £5 Book Bags £3 This is based on a first come first served basis and these items will be available for sale on Wednesday 3rd July between 8.30 am and 9 am from the front office. TMET Academy Name Change Consultation Outcome

Earlier this month a public consultation on the proposal to change the names of Knighton Fields Primary Academy; Northfield Primary Academy; Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy; Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy; and Willowbrook Primary Academy was held.   We would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond. Trust leaders carefully considered the comments and suggestions received during the consultation and have agreed that: Knighton Fields Primary Academy change its name to Knighton Mead Primary Academy; Northfield House Primary Academy to North Mead Primary Academy; Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy to Rowlatts Mead Primary Academy; Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy to Thurnby Mead Primary Academy; and Willowbrook Primary Academy to Willowbrook Mead Primary Academy from 28th August 2019.   The change of names will explicitly reflect the Schools’ link with The Mead family of schools, celebrating our long established track record of school improvement and raising standards.   We would like to…

Proposed Change of Academy Name

After careful consideration the Board of Trustees of The Mead Educational Trust have agreed to change the name of Northfield House Primary Academy and are proposing to change the name to North Mead Primary Academy from 28th August 2019. The proposed name will explicitly reflect the Academy’s link with The Mead Educational Trust and its family of academies The change of name will not affect the way in which the academy is run. The Academy will remain committed to working together to make a positive difference and continue to improve the life chances of its children and young people through high aspirations and challenge. We would like to take this opportunity to assure parents that students will be able to continue wearing their existing Northfield House Primary Academy uniforms for as long as they require them. There is no requirement to purchase an updated uniform unless a replacement is needed…
