North Mead Primary Academy have achieved Leicester City’s Positive and Peaceful Places Award. They have successfully implemented a whole-school approach to promoting positive relationships. Students have been taught strategies to stay calm, resolve conflicts and repair friendships through restorative conversations. Interventions to build emotional resilience have had a positive impact across the school. Central to the project has been pupil voice, with children contributing ideas on playtime, wellbeing and school roles. This has given students opportunities to take responsibility, make meaningful contributions and feel valued, while fostering a sense of belonging in a calm, respectful and inclusive school environment.

North Mead’s Charity Run- Friday 22nd May 2026

This year we were raising funds for Place2Be Improving children’s and young peoples mental health – Place2Be

Well Done on Raising an Incredible £214! 👏

To put this amount into perspective, North Mead’s generous contribution could help 13 children book their own appointment with a mental health professional, addressing issues such as anxiety, low mood, and self-harm.

We are so thankful for North Mead’s amazing support and fundraising, which will go a long way in providing vital mental health services in schools across the UK, and truly change the lives of children and young people for the better. 💛
