We are delighted to share the ofsted report from our inspection in January 2024 in which we were graded ‘Good’. This was an ungraded inspection, so our grade remains the same however the inspector has noted that there was evidence to suggest we may have been graded outstanding if the inspection had of been graded.

North Mead is a Good School

North Mead Primary Academy was most recently inspected by Ofsted on 24 January 2024.

The inspection report was published on 22 March 2024, and North Mead was judged to be a Good school.

Since the most recent Ofsted inspection, we have continued to develop and strengthen the school.

Our work includes:

  • further developing the quality and consistency of teaching through the North Mead Learning Loop
  • embedding a strong whole-school learning climate
  • continuing to improve attendance
  • developing our graduated approach to inclusion
  • strengthening Bumblebees and Pheasants provision
  • further developing the Fantastic Fifty and wider enrichment offer
  • ensuring curriculum experiences and trips remain free to families

Our 2026 outcomes also demonstrate strong academic performance, including:

  • 92% Reading at the expected standard
  • 83% Writing at the expected standard
  • 88% Mathematics at the expected standard
  • 81% Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined
