Quick access to learning platforms

The Pupil Portal gives North Mead pupils quick access to the online learning platforms and resources they use in school and at home.

Children should use the login details provided by school. Some platforms are used by particular year groups or groups of pupils, so not every child will use every resource listed below.

Reading

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader supports reading practice and comprehension.

Pupils can use the portal to access their Accelerated Reader account and complete quizzes on books they have read.

MyON

MyON provides pupils with access to a digital library of books and reading materials.

Epic

Epic provides access to a wide range of digital books and reading resources where this is used by the school.

Lexia

Some pupils use Lexia as part of additional reading and literacy support.

Mathematics

Times Tables Rock Stars

Times Tables Rock Stars helps pupils develop fluency and confidence with multiplication and division facts.

NumBots

NumBots supports the development of number sense, addition and subtraction fluency.

Computing and wider learning

Purple Mash

Purple Mash provides pupils with online learning activities, including resources used within our computing curriculum.

Microsoft and school resources

Microsoft 365

Pupils can access Microsoft 365 services using their school account where appropriate.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams may be used by pupils to access school resources or online learning where directed by staff.

Using online platforms safely

Children should:

use only their own school login details
keep passwords private
use online resources appropriately
tell an adult if they see something that worries them
follow North Mead’s online-safety expectations
log out when using a shared device

Families should contact school if a child has forgotten their login details or cannot access a platform.
